Heterogeneity of Lipopolysaccharides: Redefining Endotoxins Based on Pyrogenicity
Dr. Maouyo will redefine endotoxins in light of new research highlighting the differences between pyrogenic and non-pyrogenic lipopolysaccharides (LPS), as well as pathogen- and damage-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs and DAMPs). His session will support the transition to the Monocyte Activation Test (MAT) for more accurate safety testing, offering solutions to protect horseshoe crab populations and advance regulatory standards.
